Sophia Sinclair wanted more — more from her work life and more time for the things she cared about on a personal level.
“I wanted something different from the retail management job I worked in the past,” she shared with us. “I wanted more time with friends and family.”
Thus, her shift into online content creation, which is “very different than I expected!” she said. “People really want the connection you can provide them just as much as they want to see your content.”

Loyalfans: We all know that being an online content creator is a 24/7 job. How do you keep up with the workflow and demands of today’s industry?
Sophia Sinclair: I stick to a strict schedule just like any other job. I also try to set aside time specifically for friends and family. They are the reason I do this!
What are some other things people think are easy about your job but are actually really challenging?
Creating content! It takes time to get the right lighting, angles, and make sure everything looks and sounds perfect.
What’s your favorite feature on Loyalfans?
I love the live streaming! I want my fans to see my full personality, which is hard to convey by just typing.
People often feel a lot of pressure to get a bunch of gear when they first start creating content online. What do you think are the most useful things to have when you’re very first starting out?
Lighting and a good camera are super important — luckily most phones are amazing cameras now — and some way to edit photos and videos you take. My biggest upgrade was a digital camcorder, it was so nice to be able to have a dedicated device to filming.
What’s your go-to selfcare activity or down time ritual of choice?
I watch the Dodgers play, although that may not always be self-care!
Working from home can sometimes feel isolating. What do you do to help stave off feelings of loneliness or isolation?
I take time to talk to my friends, and I talk to other people who are creators as well. I also go for walks outside daily.
Besides working, what’s your favorite pastime or hobby?
I sew! I’ve made mostly costumes, but I try my hand at clothes every once in a while.
Is your sign an accurate description of you?
I’m a Taurus, and yes — I’m really stubborn!
