Loyalfans: How did you get started as an online content creator?
Naughty Adeline: It all started as a hobby, but in the meantime I decided to transform it into a full time job and make a living out of this. So, who says you can’t have fun at work, eh? Now I can say I found my dream job!
What do you think are the most useful things — gear-wise — to have when you’re very first starting out?
I started filming with my phone, which was a low quality one, and then gradually I upgraded it. Now I can film in 4k resolution. I’m still working on getting a professional photo and video camera.
What are some things people think are easy about your job but are actually really challenging?
Getting used to the camera as I’m really shy and introverted. It was really hard and a long way for me to get used to being filmed and be natural in front of the camera.
I started with custom video clips and gradually got used to the camera. Now, I do live streaming shows too.
How do you keep up with the demands of today’s 24/7 online industry?
I try to make a plan for the next month and stick to it no matter what. I schedule and I note everything in a spreadsheet.
Working from home can sometimes feel isolating. What do you do to help stave off feelings of loneliness or isolation?
Well, I love working from home and don’t feel like I’m isolated — but my crazy dog helps me if sometimes I get close to this feeling!
What’s your favorite pastime or hobby?
I really love playing video games. I can say I’m addicted to World of Warcraft, but I’ve also been playing other stuff like Age of Empires, Diablo, Payday, ESO and so on — so this is one of my hobbies. The other one is playing with my previously mentioned crazy dog, a German Shepherd.
