This meditation is inspired by Shavasana, a relaxation practice from the ancient yoga tradition of India.📿
Today, science suggests that deep relaxation practices may help activate the parasympathetic nervous system — the body’s natural “rest and restore” state. Many people experience a calmer mind, slower breathing, and a greater sense of well-being afterward.🥰
As I guide you through different parts of the body, your attention follows. In modern mindfulness and neuroscience, this is often called a body scan. By bringing awareness to specific areas one by one, the mind becomes less focused on racing thoughts and more connected to present-moment sensations, which can support relaxation and body awareness.
Visualization, soothing sounds, and scents are also used because they can influence emotions, attention, and relaxation through the brain’s sensory pathways and memory associations.🎵
This recording is my personal interpretation of the practice, inspired by my own experience with deep relaxation. I hope it brings you a moment of calm, comfort, and presenceđź’‹
