The sun is warm, shining brightly on my pale skin. The crystal-clear sea fills my eyes with joy. The cool breeze caresses my blonde hair, and the waves jiggle my breasts as if they were two warm balls of mozzarella hanging over a water bath. And then there’s the sand, giving me a massage worthy of a professional. Mother Nature has everything you need to feel good, at peace with yourself and the world. My tattoos move sinuously like jellyfish skimming the water’s surface. My feet dance in the background, moving in time with the breeze. Now I feel like smoking. My windproof lighter is indispensable in these situations. But even with that, it’s not always easy to get that first satisfying drag. If I can’t light it right away, I get frustrated! The world can come crashing down, but I have to light that damn cigarette! And when the ember glows, a wisp of smoke follows the wind’s path, fanning out across the beach. Now my mouth tastes of smoke and salt. I ask for nothing more.
