In the article, titled “The Benefits of Seeking Help From Platforms,” Andrew goes over some “perks” every creator *should* be asking of the platforms they work on. Here’s a lil’ quote from Andrew:<\/p>\n

Creators interact with platforms every day. They upload their IDs, they provide banking information, and they hand over content that is both valuable and sensitive. Creators clearly trust and rely on platforms, and yet creators rarely reach out to ask the platform for help, guidance, and promotion.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take it a step further. As a content creator, you may go to other content creators that also didn\u2019t ask anything of the platform to ask about things like promotion, perks, or education resources. You see the point: You may just be missing out on those little perks that a site is willing to offer you to help you grow your page if you don\u2019t just reach out and ask…<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Andrew then goes over a few tips on exactly how<\/em> to go about asking for such perks, as well as offering a list of things that — at minimum — you could be seeking. Some of these include: walkthroughs and educational materials, promotion, merchandise and swag, a\u00a0higher percentage payout for exclusivity and more.<\/p>\n
